Melissa Hollinger, Dispatcher

How long have you been with Technology Lab?

I started in February of 2019.

Tell us a little bit about your background. What brought you to where you are now?

I am from Hermitage, Tennessee, and now live in La Vergne. I attended UT Knoxville for two years and MTSU for two, graduating from the latter. I was an integrated studies major and concentrated in horse science and psychology. I worked at PetSmart as a pet care associate for two years and was promoted to an associate lead for a year. After that, I worked at Art Is In Market and Designs in Copper for a year. I came to Technology Lab through Brian La Pratt, who was the owner of AIIM.

What do you love most about working at Technology Lab?

The atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, helpful, hardworking, and it is a nice place to work overall.

Tell us about your role and responsibilities.

I receive tickets via phone and email, determine what needs to be done, and assign them out accordingly by technology level and skill set. I also take care of little things around the office that need attention.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I have been married for two years to my highschool sweetheart. I spend time outside of work taking care of my many pets and houseplants. I have two cats, a little gray female (Inara) and a very large fluffy male (Jack), a dog that is a Pit-Lab mix (Declan), a one-year-old old Ball Python (Ambrose), and two large fish tanks. I am very passionate about animals, with a special love for reptiles and fish. I like working with my hands and am generally pretty crafty. I make jewelry, I crochet, and I love fixing things.
